Built directly into the cliffside above Morzine, Avoriaz is a snowy, car-free pedestrian town. Step out of your accommodation, click into your skis, and you're on the lift.
High altitude means more snow-sure conditions, and a wider open beginner zone makes it an ideal spot for families. Avoriaz is also home to The Lil' Stash, a hidden tree-run park, and the freestyle parks that draw riders from across Europe.
It's where we run our GAP instructor course, and our cohort calls it home for six weeks each winter.
