On the mountain

Ski instructor

Teach across four Portes du Soleil resorts on a self-employed basis, with a team that keeps you busy and backs you to get better.

The job

You teach. That is the whole job, and we protect it. Peak instructors are not running a script through a crowd of twelve - you get small groups, real teaching time, and the client at the centre of every decision you make.

You will work across Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets and Chatel. Some weeks that means five days with the same family building a genuine arc of progress. Some weeks it is a different group every morning. Both are the job, and we brief you properly for both.

How the arrangement works

Peak Snowsports Morzine is a syndicat professionnel, and instructors join us as independent self-employed contractors, not employees. You hold your own carte professionnelle and your own liability insurance, you invoice us monthly, and you keep your independence - you are free to hold other work provided it does not get in the way.

What we bring is the commercial and administrative side: the clients, the diary, the booking platform, the office. Enquiries are matched to the school, provisionally allocated, and confirmed to you the week before delivery once the client has paid. Until that point the planner moves, which is why hours are never guaranteed.

If a confirmed lesson is cancelled we try to re-sell your time. If we manage it, you invoice the higher of the two. If we cannot, you invoice the original. You are never paid twice, and you are never left with nothing.

What we give you

A full diary. That is the thing instructors tell us they never get elsewhere, and it is the thing we work hardest at. We keep the team busy through the season instead of leaving you to scramble for the odd lesson in January.

Beyond that: mentoring from our senior team, a development budget, and a clear route to Level 3 and 4 for anyone who wants it. Instructors who came to us as Level 2s now coach on the GAP course and run resorts.

How we hire

Send the form below. We read every application and reply to all of them, yes or no. If it looks like a fit we will get you on a video call with the resort director you would be working under, and if you are already in resort we would far rather ski with you for an hour than interview you for one.

Full terms are set out in the PEAK Snowsports Instructor Terms and Conditions, which we send before anyone signs anything. It is governed by French law, with the Commercial Court of Annecy as the jurisdiction.
