PEAK Ski Resorts
Avoriaz is in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, with access to beautiful views. It's great for families, as it has loads of different level runs that vary in width and length. Avoriaz also has brilliant easy access off piste for the more experienced skiers/snowboarders. With Avoriaz town centre being 1800m above sea level, it has great snow coverage from December through to April. Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski areas in the world. With 650km of beautiful snowy pistes, and twelve different picturesque resort between France and Switzerland, you'll definitely find some incredible Swiss and Savoyard food.
The ski area of Morzine only 1 hour and 10 minutes from Geneva International Airport, super easy access for a quick weekend snowsports filled break. Le Pleney, the main ski area of Morzine offers a easy accessed beginner area, with a really nice progression to slightly steeper and more challenging terrain. With restaurants situated really close to the main Pleney gondolla, means the family or friends who aren't skiing can still come up and enjoy the breath taking views over some nice food. As well as the Le Pleney ski area you also have the Nyon with some awesome views, the steep Chamoussiere red and black run and the fantastic family fun resort of Les Gets. definitely won't get the bored of this ski area.
Les Gets, similar to Morzine with its beautiful tree runs and vast skiing area. Les Gets holds some lovely flowing long runs into the quiet, family orientated Les Gets village. Some amazing skiing in the Ranfolly bowl, super quiet first thing in the morning and plenty of terrain and restaurants to choose from. Just on the opposite side of Les Gets, we have a little mountain called Mont Chery. Unbelievably good skiing for a small mountain. Amazing in the afternoon sun and also really quiet, Mont Chery is for slightly more advance skiers hosting 4 black runs, 4 red runs and 1 blue run and also a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc region. One of the best view points in the whole Portes du Soleil area.
